Job Description
- Implement approved policies and procedures and ensure adherence with the processes implemented so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
- Implement the day-to-day operations assigned for the area of work to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
- Maintain inventory levels of all consumables and ensure that all tools and equipment are kept in good repair.
- Perform weekly consumable inventory checks, and requisition items as required.
- Maintain all tools and equipment and ensure that all items are signed out at the start of the shift and signed back in at the end of the shift.
- Create and maintain a log of tools, equipment and other consumables such as health & safety equipment.
- Report regularly to the supervisor with items that are requiring repair, calibration and items that are not returned to the tool crib at the end of the shift.
- Keep the tool and equipment log updated with items taken out of service and adding any new items.
- Keep tool crib neat and orderly, in order to effectively perform job functions.
- Prepare periodic inventory or maintain perpetual inventory of tools and equipment, manually or using computer.
- Inspect and measure tools and equipment for defects and wear, visually or using micrometer and reports damage or wear to supervisors.
