Ground Support Equipment Technician

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician to join our team. The GSE Technician will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of ground support equipment used in the aviation industry.

Job Responsibility:
- Conducting regular maintenance and inspections on various types of ground support equipment, such as aircraft tugs, baggage carts, and hydraulic jacks.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and performing repairs in a timely manner to ensure equipment is operating efficiently.
- Following maintenance schedules, service bulletins, and manufacturer guidelines to uphold safety standards and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Keeping detailed maintenance records, documenting all repairs and services performed on each piece of equipment.
- Collaborating with other team members and communicating effectively to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations while working on ground support equipment.

Candidate Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or training in automotive or heavy equipment maintenance is a plus.
- Proven experience as a GSE Technician or similar role, with knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to work in shifts and in outdoor environments, sometimes in challenging weather conditions.

- Strong knowledge of ground support equipment (GSE) operations and maintenance
- Familiarity with various types of GSE such as pushback tractors, aircraft tugs, baggage loaders, and ground power units
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues in GSE
- Proficiency in reading technical manuals and schematics
- Prior experience in preventive maintenance of GSE
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to GSE operations
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with other team members and airline personnel
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
