Job Summary:
The Section Manager for Ground Support Equipment Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all ground support equipment to ensure operational efficiency and safety at all times.
Job Responsibility:
- Manage a team of maintenance technicians and mechanics to ensure timely and effective maintenance of ground support equipment.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks and ensure equipment availability as per operational requirements.
- Monitor equipment performance and address any issues or malfunctions promptly to maintain high standards of safety and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with maintenance standards and regulations.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment to ensure availability for maintenance and repair needs.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members to troubleshoot complex problems and ensure quality repairs.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in maintenance and repair of ground support equipment, preferably in an aviation or transportation setting.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or managerial role is preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance best practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
